Cabernet Sauvignon Family Reserve

Our Ezeta 2022 Family Reserve Cabernet Sauvignon is a blend of grapes from our family’s single-block vineyard and hand-selected lots from a historic neighboring vineyard, both located within the renowned Spring Mountain AVA on the western slopes of St. Helena. Known for its steep, rocky soils and excellent drainage, this region yields smaller, concentrated grapes with exceptional intensity. The elevated vineyards benefit from cooler temperatures, morning fog, and extended afternoon sun, promoting slow ripening and the development of refined tannins, vibrant acidity, and layered complexity. With just 150 cases produced, this wine embodies the essence of balance born from the vineyard.

The 2022 harvest was handled meticulously, with each lot fermented individually, followed by an average of three days of cold soak and 23 days on skins to enhance color and depth. The wine was then aged in 85% new French oak from select forests, imparting fine tannins and subtlety of character. Bottled unfined and unfiltered, the wine retains its purity and structure.
